Casa America Yelapa, Mexico
>>>> What Should I Bring? <<<<
It can be cool in the evening so I recommend a
good sweatshirt or fleece pullover. You will mostly wear shorts and t-shirts and
bathing suits during the day, but you might want to bring one pair of jeans or
long pants.
A small flashlight for each of you is a must.
Good walking sandals or sneakers are better than standard flip-flops if you'll
be wanting to hike up the river to the waterfall and pool there.
Personal snorkeling gear is nice to have.
Guests of Casa America enjoy the use of a double and single Ocean (brand name)
sit-on-top kayak, with adjustable seat pads, paddles, and life jackets supplied.
A day pack and a good water bottle.
Your favorite bug spray and sunscreen.
Be sure to change enough dollars to pesos at the airport or at a House of Change
(Cambio) in PV. There are no ATM's or banks in Yelapa, and only two higher end
restaurants accept credit cards. There is a man in Yelapa who changes money but
the rate will be better in PV . People all over Yelapa will accept your dollars
at 10 pesos to a dollar. I'm not sure what they give you for the Canadian
dollar.
I like to be paid the balance of the rent, on check-in, in US dollars. I don't
take credit cards or checks.
